Experience

Tutored a second grade student on her reading comprehension. I scored a 36 on the English portion of the ACT. I love working with students and helping them to reach their full potential as learners, specifically with reading and writing. I spent three years as a high school librarian and journalism teacher before deciding to return to school. In my professional life, I have been a magazine editor, a media coordinator for a presidential debate, and produced a concert at Nashville's premiere music venue. But more than anything, I am most proud of the times I watched my high school students find their voices as writers.
