Hobbies

My main hobbies are athletic in nature; I played basketball in high school, soccer in college, and tennis in college. I still play soccer and tennis every week. I also grew up water skiing and am looking forward to the summertime! I spend a lot of my free time with my dogs, so I enjoy taking them to local dog parks, as well. My academic strengths involve psychology and related social sciences, language and writing, and basic exercise science (specifically anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology). My main professional interest is to improve kids' educational outcomes by helping them acquire better social and emotional skills and behavioral coping skills. For me, my interactions with kids are always about increasing their abilities to succeed in general, regardless of my teaching content or the learning environment.
