I am Junior Biology Major with an emphasis in Marine Biology at Belmont University with a minor in Environmental Science and Mathematics. I have also taken courses through University of Southern Mississippi at Gulf Coast Research Laboratory.

Experience

I want to be a tutor because I love when I am working through a problem and the reasoning and all the work click and I understand the solution. I would love to teach students and engage them in the problem so they to can feel that "click." I help my 13 year old brother with his homework whenever he struggles with certain problems. He never feels ashamed or embarrassed to come to me for help. I would never want a student to feel that way. I've taken multiple mathematics classes throughout high school as well as college, and plan to take more. This current summer I am actually studying Marine Biology at Gulf Coast Research Laboratory. I have taken the following courses: Biology 1, Biology 2, Chemistry, Barrier Island Ecology, Shark and Stingray Physiology, Marine Biology, Statistics, Computer Proficiency Level 2, Science and the Writer's Art, Math Inquiry, Marine Science, College Algebra, Calculus, Mathematical Reasoning, and Precalculus. I also plan to take courses that further my education the next two years.

Hobbies

As I said above, I am studying at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory this summer and love it! There are multiple activities that I have involved myself in such as fishing, kayaking, sand volleyball, board games, and running. I also love to play soccer. I used to play competitively in high school and love to kick around whenever I have free time.
