I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in philosophy and political science. My college education helped me understand that the key to success isn't just memorizing material and preparing for tests, but also learning how to apply your knowledge in a way that helps you in a personal and professional capacity. My goal as a teacher is to do more than help students prepare for tests. I also want to help them develop important life skills so that they're able to go out in the world and achieve new heights. For me, a good education is one that teaches students how to research and think critically, so that they're able to come up with their own solutions to the problems life throws at them. Two of my favorite subjects to tutor are ACT and GRE prep courses. I understand that passing standardized tests is a skill in itself, which is why I like to help students study and mentally prepare for test day. I also have experience teaching middle school math, writing, English, and psychology. When I'm not teaching and learning, I like to spend my time playing fantasy video games and watching British comedies.
