I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, as well as a master's in chemical and physical biology, which I received from Vanderbilt University. I have two things in life that I'm passionate about: science and education. As a college student, I had the privilege of studying a lot of interesting subjects outside of my field, like philosophy, history, literature, and writing. I believe that education helps empower people to achieve greatness in life. For this reason, I like working as a tutor. Teaching gives me the chance to share my skills and experiences with eager pupils, so that I can help create a new generation of future scientists. I believe that patience and communication are both important characteristics that every good teacher should have. Students need to feel comfortable asking questions and participating in the classroom. Additionally, I also work hard to come up with lessons that have been custom tailored with my students' needs in mind. That way, they're able to learn in a way that works best for them. Along with sciences, I also have experience helping students prepare for the SAT, ACT, and GRE. When I'm not tutoring, I like to spend my time reading, drawing, and playing sports.
