Experience

When I was in high school, I remember one tutor who I went to for help in calculus. Math was not (and will never be!) a strong subject. The way she approached it was refreshing and different for me; I was no longer frustrated, but understood. My grades vastly improved and I came away disliking math less because of how she worked with me to understand it. I want to help students look at their work a different way, or help them understand the material in a way they normally wouldn't. Hopefully, I would help improve their competency and outlook on the subject. Currently, I work for the International Bluegrass Music Association as the Publications Editor and Special Projects Director, helping multiple committees achieve their goals.
