Private tutor in Nashville, TN

Education

Sophomore at Vanderbilt University studying Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology with a minor in Environmental Science and a passion for the English language.

Experience

I served as a staff reporter, blogger, and copy editor on my high school's newspaper and since then have been asked to edit countless friends' essays, in particular those written by international students who are struggling with the nuances of the English language. I scored a 35 on the ACT my junior year of high school with a 36 in the reading portion. I earned a score of 5 on both the AP Language exam and the AP Literature exam. To be honest, my primary motivation for seeking out editing/tutoring opportunities is that I simply find it enjoyable and relaxing. I also find that editing other people's writing improves my own.

Hobbies

I am a huge fan of film, namely the works of Woody Allen and Werner Herzog. I love animals, no matter what shape or size; I once went bat-catching much to the chagrin of many of my more squeamish relatives. I am of a rare breed who genuinely loves the process of going to school and learning.
