Experience
As a student at Lewis & Clark College, I developed a passion for the study of Logic, which I believe is the place where Philosophy and Mathematics intersect. I am currently attending Vanderbilt University Law School, and I also continue to tutor students in subjects that range from Algebra and Geometry to the study of the ancient Greek philosophers.Through tutoring, I have discovered that every one of my students has an individual learning style and that the best way to help them become successful is to tailor my teaching techniques to their different needs and strengths. This has been particularly helpful in preparing students for taking their LSAT and other standardized tests. I find that students who are comfortable with this kind of testing are usually those who are confident, not only with their academic knowledge, but also in their ability to test successfully. It is my goal to give each of my students that kind of confidence. In my downtime, I enjoy running, scuba diving, running, sailing, and playing the guitar. I just came back from a four-year visit to the Virgin Islands where I was able to do many of these things, in addition to getting in plenty of study time.
