Experience
I recently graduated from St. Agnes Academy, where I was a member of the National Honor Society. Currently, I am attending Vanderbilt University, working towards a degree in economics and human and organizational development. My attraction to tutoring first occurred when I received tutoring help during my junior year of high school. At that time, I required assistance preparing for the math portion of my SAT and was extremely happy to receive it. Working with a tutor raised my grades considerably, and now I am happy to give back by tutoring others. Since I have taken exams like the PSAT, ACT, HSPT, and ISEE, I have a great deal of experience with the subject matter and look forward to passing it on to other students. I can also help with subjects like Spanish, history, literature, English, and social studies. I have great problem solving and interpersonal skills, which allow me to help students work through problems and find solutions for themselves. When students are able to learn for themselves, they have a much better chance of retaining the information. I am very flexible as a tutor and will do everything in my power to meet with students at a time and place that best works for them.
