I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and I will be starting at University of Tennessee's College of Medicine next fall. My education is something that I value greatly, and I love helping other students come one step closer to reaching their full academic potentials. I have personally seen what a huge difference a few tutoring sessions can make in someone's academic performance, and I truly believe in catering to a student's individual needs. I believe that patience, open-mindedness and creativity are key qualities that any instructor should have in order to be successful, and I aim to create an engaging and encouraging atmosphere when I teach. I have a variety of different experiences in one-on-one and group instruction, including the following: -Private tutor for high school subjects including the following: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Chemistry, Biology -Private tutor for college Anatomy & Physiology -Teaching Assistant for SAT Prep class (and scored in 99th percentile for both ACT & SAT) -Teaching Assistant at Summer Institute for the Gifted in multi-subject classes for ages 8-17 -Volunteer at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, where I taught science lessons to patients of a variety of ages and socioeconomic/ educational backgrounds -AP Classes: Chemistry, Biology, Physics B, US History, World History, Calculus BC, Statistics, English Lit & Comp, English Lang & Comp
