My extensive educational experience as a student and teacher gives me an edge as a tutor. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Then, I continued my education at Vanderbilt University, where I graduated with my M.D. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology.While I have extensive experience in research labs, I'm also passionate about teaching. I've enjoyed teaching biology, honors biology, AP Biology, anatomy and physiology, ACT science prep, and AP Psychology to high school students. I also have experience instructing college nursing students in pathophysiology and anatomy and physiology. In addition, I can offer students guidance in study skills and organization, SAT preparation, GRE preparation, and MCAT preparation. Through my own experience in the classroom, I believe in bringing both a great attitude and real-world applications into my tutoring sessions. My students can also depend on me to use time-tested strategies to tackle any discomfort or anxiety they have when it comes to subjects they find challenging.When I'm not in the classroom with my students, I enjoy creating handmade cards and jewelry, spending time with my family, and reading.
