I have had a few students that I tutored throughout college. I speak fluently both, Russian and Romanian. As for my qualifications, I was originally born in Moldova. My parents were Russian but I attended a Romanian school. I moved to the U.S when I was 16 years old and that is when I learned the language. I believe that having these two languages as my primary is very helpful when teaching somebody a foreign language. Knowledge of the culture is vital when teaching somebody a language because languages come with their own character and are shaped by the cultures that use them the most. I want to be a tutor because when I came here, I spoke little to no English, but with great teachers and tutors, I was able to become fluent in English and do very well in my studies. Being trilingual has come with a lot of advantages and I would like to help people achieve the same. Also, I enjoy working with people and finding creative ways to teach them a foreign language.

I enjoy reading and writing. I love writing poetry. Watching movies is one of my favorite activities. Good movies can reveal things that one can miss in real life. I also enjoy various sports hence I was an athlete in high school. Hiking and outdoor activities are always fun.
