I'm a freshman at Vanderbilt University. My primary major is Secondary Education, in the Peabody College of Education and my intended second major is History with a minor in Political Science. I graduated from high school as a distinguished scholar, was in the top 3% of my class, and had a 4.3 weighted GPA.
Experience
I've tutored other students while I was in High School and Junior High. Typically, they were friends and other classmates. My ACT composite score was 32, My SAT score was 1930 I took 9 AP Exams throughout High School: Human Geography, Language and Comp., Literature and Comp., Calculus BC, Microeconomics, Physics 1, Spanish Language and Culture, US Gov and Politics, and US History. I was named a National AP Scholar, and an AP Scholar with Distinction I want to tutor because it will give me experience working with students. I want to be a teacher, and this will allow me to work on this while i'm still in school. Additionally, I have always gained satisfaction in helping other people, and I believe that tutoring is by best way to do this.
