I have tutored my peers during my entire academic career. Distilling complex topics and methods so that they are easier to understand comes naturally to me. As an engineering student at Tennessee State University, I was taught a great method that has the student state the problem, figure out unknown and known quantities, detail the relevant equations or theories, and finally provide assumptions or answers to the problem.That kind of structured approach, in my opinion, reinforces my belief that first it is necessary to understand the material and be able to apply it to the problem. Getting the right answer is a secondary goal, but approaching the problem correctly is paramount.I tutor algebra, precalculus, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, and other math and science topics.I am located in Nashville, Tennessee, and enjoy drawing and reading when I am not working. I also enjoy playing video games, riding motorcycles, and playing Dungeons and Dragons in my free time.
