I'm a tutor based in Nashville, Tennessee, who enjoys reading, playing with my dogs, and spending time with friends when I'm not working with students. I have my bachelor's degree in psychology from Franklin and Marshall College. I'm also a certified special education teacher, behavior therapist, and my masters of education from Vanderbilt. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I have an upbeat personality, and am extremely passionate about working with children. This, along with my strong organizational skills, makes me an excellent tutor. I believe in working with students on an individualized basis. In doing this, I provide them with targeted lesson plans that focus on identifying their weaknesses and then building skill upon skill to help the student reach their academic goals. With my background in psychology and special education, I am easily able to differentiate instruction strategies and decrease learning anxieties in my students. I strive for each of my students to leave our sessions feeling more confident in their own academic abilities. My overall goal is to help students reach their academic goals.
